CAPTAIN
ADOLPHUS BOETTCHER
Captain Adolphus Boettcher enlisted in Company "C" 17th Missouri Volunteer
Infantry Regiment on December 1, 1861 at St. Louis Missouri. He served
as Quartermaster of the 17th Missouri and was in charge of the foraging
party consisting of seven wagons ambushed by Parsons 12th Texas Rangers
at Searcy Landing, Arkansas on May 19, 1862. He was promoted to Captain
on December 12, 1862.
